That is absolute bollocks. Kaboul and Onouah in particular are two of the fastest players in the country, with Onouah running 100m in 11.09 seconds. Davies is more mobile than Distin and has performed better this season than Jagielka.

You really are full of it aren't you. "Simple as that". Are you the Pope or something...Mr.Infallible. Why are you on this board anyhow. Your posts are full of crap. Distin "the fastest CB in the country"???? I dont assume that Distin is slow because he's well over 30. I've seen him play many times. He's not even in the Top-10. Bye bye BSer.!!

Is this even a real rumour? I cant find any Everton forums even talking about Davies. http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/ seems to be a big forum, their january transfer thread has 20,000 views and 600 replies. Havent mentioned him once.

Is he **** as like, you haven't got a clue lad, you patently wouldn't know a player if they smashed you in the grid.

I'm not even going to justify that pile of ****e about Jagielka with any further comment.....

Oh & as for your stats, here's some less selective ones......

Shades of Michael Turner this. How important is he to us? Could he be the kind of player who is the difference between staying up and not?

I say he is, so we need to resist all offers.

No doubt Everton are interested, Jagielka & Distin have been absolute rocks for them this year, but if they get an injury to one if them then they're light. Hence the interest.

Bruce ****ed us up over Turner when boss of the Mackems, so he owes us here. He needs to be strong.

This is bigger for us than Everton.

No, not one Everton forum has us linked to him.

Martinez took Alcaraz the Paraguayan International that he had at Wigan in August as well. He's been injured but is now back training. We've also got Heitinga the Dutch International who also can't get a kick. Not to mention Shane Duffy the young Ireland International who's gone out on loan. So with Stones that gives us 4 back up CB's to the first choice pairing of Distin & Jags - who are as good as anything in the League.....

I thought I heard it was the other way around and we had enquired about taking Jelavic and there was nothing in the Davies rumour.

Jelavic could well be available if we can bring in a replacement.

it's a total mystery what's happened to him tbh. When he arrived he was pure class, scored a sack full of goals from the Jan to the end of the season & looked the business.

The following season he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo & he now looks totally devoid of confidence, a move is probably the best thing all round. You could do far, far worse, as if he can re-gain his touch he's a hell of a striker.

Sounds like we enquired about Jelavic and Martinez mentioned 6m for Davies which Bruce shrugged off.

One or two on here need to take a look at themselves with regard to Davies

He has been fantastic for us for 17 GAMES

The likes of Jagielka and Distin have been immense for Everton for the last x SEASONS.

If Davies had been as consistent in his past as he is for us now then he wouldn't be with us today. I've not tracked his career but from Wikipedia he seems to have been a little unlucky at Villa with injuries that made MoN go out and buy Collins and Dunne to replace him

I've not seen any rumour about Davies being headhunted by another club and presume the HDM lifted the story from here in the first place.

    And that matters what?

So performances in the past effect how good you are currently? Bollocks.

Ramsay has been fairly **** for the last 3 years but that doesn't mean he isn't one of the best midfielders in the league right now. The past has no bearing on what is happening right now and different players develop in completely different ways.

After all, why judge someone by watching them play 25 hours or so of football when you can spend 2 minutes on Wikipedia reading about them and THEN come to a conclusion about them?
