“Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst. Life is shocking, but you must never appear to be shocked. For no matter how bad it is it could be worse and no matter how good it is it could be better.” - Maya Angelou I think that’s our best team, which gives us the best chance
Watching the highlights I hope Hughes will be brave enough to star with Moi, Gabbi and Ings for their movement and willingness to run with the ball as well. Add Armstrong to that and we could be quite effective going forward.
Didn’t see Everton at Wolves, but I’ve been impressed with what Silva did at Hull & Watford in relatively short periods of time and the energy his teams play with. Hopefully we can catch them whilst in transition
I agree. To be honest I think Silva's teams are vulnerable defensively due to how offensive they are and I think we could grab something and certainly get our first goals of the season if we start on the front foot which I think we have to.
Hughes style seems to be to play the wrong formation and then put on the players he probably should have started with and look like a genius. I expect nothing.
We know we must get more than the 33 points we achieved last season. Using corresponding fixtures we are a point up on last season having lost to Burnley last year. We will do well to get a point at Everton again but hopefully we pick up where we left off on Sunday.
I would go with; McCarthy Cedric Vestergaard Hoedt Bert Romeu Lemina Redmond jwp Elyounoussi Ings Austin either not fit or not interested. Our fullbacks didn’t press forward and pin them back so don’t see the need for 3CB’s. Like the look of Elyounoussi, am putting prowse in as he is industrial and links up well. 0-2 saints COYR
I expect we will see three at the back once again. Hughes will be expecting them to come at us hard and I don't think he will quit with his desired formation after one flop. A tough time of the season to visit Goodison but Everton themselves might not be settled so am hoping to get something from the game.
Or at least effective on the counter, something that we're really going to need to add if we want to be effective away from home this year. If we're going to drop deep, we gotta move quickly when we have the ball.
Dunno, got it from here: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....-exposes-evertons-ineptitude-1291794.html?amp
Yeah I just read that, Hirst crossed for Le Tiss. I remember the game, thought we’d get dicked at the time.
