I know where you're coming from and I agree with what you say about Macca and Owen sagas. It's a pretty clear indictment of how Liverpool was being run at the time that we got practically nothing for two very good players.

I never personally expect any player to stay forever anymore but what I thought we deserved from Torres was just a little respect to say ok I want to move but not the day before the transfer window shuts and certainly not to a direct rival. I'm not sure even Owen would have stooped THAT low.

Scott Carson, my kid wanted his signature on a WBA shirt, we had just relegated them so he was obviously upset but failed to think about the fans and walked away from my kid without signing the shirt.

He was trying to get the autograph for his grandad a life long WBA fan, which make it worse.

    Torres and Owen for me.

I was never a huge fan of Owen, but still, i was stunned when he went there.

The Torres saga was painful. Blank him out of memory now!

Changed my opinion a little when Gerrard almost left. I still love him, but there is a part of me that raises question marks, unlike with Carragher.

    Frank Lampard.

A woman my brother works with, who is a massive fan of Frank, went to the KC (Hull City's ground) when Chelsea were playing there a couple of years ago. She took Frank's autobiography and managed to see him to get it signed. They got chatting and he asked her if she was going to the match, but she said she hadn't managed to get any tickets (she'd been trying for weeks.) Anyway, he disappeared to the box office for a couple of minutes and came back with a couple for her.

Love hearing stories like that, goes to show not all of them are arseholes! I have heard Frank is a genuine nice bloke, I feel he gets a lot of unnecessary stick from fans up and down the country (bias aside here)

The fact that Gerrard didn't leave cements him in as an all time Legend for me.

Torres knew what he was doing when he came to the club and played the hero card for all that it was worth. He is/was the antitheseis of Gerrard.

I would agree with that. He gets stick because he has been very good in recent years - and nobody likes the best!

I've never had anything against him to be honest, or Terry, it's players like Drogba, Cole and Robben which put me off Chelsea.

Yeah I spose. I guess we will never know what was going on in his head at the time. Carragher swore he thought he would leave and only found out after a press conference!

But as you say, he still didn't leave!

Yeah I can see why most people dislike those players (except Robben?). Funny though, Terry is brilliant on the field (obviously excluding the racist alligations as he's not been found guilty), same with Cole and both total twats off the field whereas Drogba is a **** on the field and an absolute gentleman off it!

I've always thought with Lampard, it MUST be because he's **** for England mixed in with him being good and then the fact he plays for us - a generally disliked club around the country I'll admit. Even the hammers don't have a right to boo him, he left before Roman arrived so money isn't the issue and they boo'd him even when he played for them! Idiots.

Again, not being biased BUT Torres and Gerrard are very different circumstances. Gerrard had been at Liverpool for his entire career and had grown up supporting the club as his local team so him leaving is far worse than what Torres did, who was only at Liverpool for 4ish years.

Granted he grew an affection with Liverpool supporters and in hindsight I wish we'd never bought him!

Robben was a bad diver mate, remember when he got Reina sent off for just brushing his face. Disliked him ever since that.

I'd agree he loved a tumble but not the worst for it, but I do understand.

The Chelsea player that I'd most love to kill would be Gudjohnsen. The dive that he did in the 2nd half of our first CL semi that got Alonso a yellow (which put him out of the return) was cold and calculated
