With Warnock in charge we are never going to go mad in the transfer market. He is a penny pincher due to the clubs he's managed in the past. But his record is testament to his success with this mindset of "workmanlike" players. But as it says in the article, Warnock is trying to guide the owners in the right direction, which in Warnocks mind is to build on what we have which is fair enough. But if we are looking at a relegation battle come christmas, I think the board will start to urge Warnock to spend more on bigger players.

But let's not forget that we all expected Warnock to spend some cash last summer, we got signings from relegated teams and players who hadn't heard of in a long time. But the rest, as they say, is history.

So let's bare this in mind as I see a lot of people starting to be taken in by the media rubbish and speculation as to who we'll buy. I can guarantee you that we will not be impressed by our signings!!!! But that doesn't mean that we wont be impressed by what Warnock does with them. As long as we survive next season then Warnock has done his job. I just don't want things to go wrong for him so that the board have to act and get rid of him after the work he's done for us.

to go from championship to 4th spot Premier League is a massive massive ask, and shows a little naiviety on the owners. For a start which established premier league player will want to come to a club likely to be fighting relegation, certainly not someone playing first team footie at another premier team.

NW will get in players WHO can do a job. I know who I would like to see next season, Jamie O'Hara, Kyle Walker, Demba Ba, Collison, Boothroyd (sorry but if there is one thing good about Cardiff losing it the fact he is going to a premier team) and Modric. We also need a centre back however, i have a feeling that premier footie may suit Fitz Hall (and I am not his biggest fan)
