I wrote an article a week or so ago about the changing messages coming out of CCS.
First there was an absolute need to get the new recruits in before pre-season so they could gel with the team, then it was, 'Nothing will be finally decided until the Prem clubs have named their squads', then it was we are looking to get the men we want by the end of the august transfer window.
People said everything would be OK, and now this on WOL - the end of the JANUARY window.
Is that the same window MM had money to spend in last term and didn't buy anyone because he said it was a stupid lottery with players who were not as good as they thought they were, asking inflated money because they thought teams needed them to push on? And didn't he also say players bought or borrowed in that window showed no loyaty to the club nor displayed the hunger to get promoted?
So, what's changed? does Malky suddenly have some magic insight that tells him this term the January window is going to be completely different to ever before?
It seems to me that the arrival of all these promised wondeful new players is getting further away not closer.
