We'd have won it if Alex Bruce hadn't have gone off injured and if the lino wasn't a ****. Things somehow conspire against us.
I couldn't agree more, with those 2 upfront it would have made quite a difference. On another point, a lot of us have said if Alex Bruce had stayed on, we would have seen the game out. Tom Huddlestone last Friday on Burnsey/Swanny show made a good observation, when asked how the players were feeling about how the game was going, he said they felt in control in the 2nd half, but Alex Bruce going off upset the balance. Not that Macca weakened us, but he said if it was him managing, he would have just changed like for like and keep Macca in the middle of the 3 and leave Chezzy and Curtis where they were. But Brucey moved the back 3 around, and Tom felt we would have been better just leaving Macca where Alex was playing.
Wudda, cudda, shudda.... Players and managers have come and gone since 2010, up and down (and down) we've gone. Only one problem remains.
