Eva Carneiro has just agreed a confidential out of court settlement with Chelsea/Mourinho. That's her a few million better off then.
Its an interesting statement. Chelsea claim she was categorically warned never to run on to the pitch to a player's aid unless specifically instructed by the physio, and he hadnt done that. By offering this conciliatory statement they clearly just want an end to it and the associated PR which she has used to her advantage. She's played a blinder .
She turned down £1.2m....Makes you wonder how much they have coughed up....Nice work if you can get it...
That's a humiliating climb down for Chelsea but seems like the right thing. For the reasons they've now admitted it always looked like a disgustingly unfair dismissal. Mourinho at that point had lost the plot and was blaming everyone else and inventing all sorts of external factors to blame his team's form on. I quite liked him until then.
