I don't think he could have done anything at all about that second one. Just a ****ing freak piece of skill.
No idea. The Scottish player who hit the shot which led up to the goal should get a small percentage of the blame, it was rather speculative and pathetic, but a goalkeeper positioning should legislate for something like that happening. Far too far out of his goal. Hell of a finish when you see it from behind the goal mind.
Far too far out of his goal. Clearly shown by how fast he was having to sprint back. I mean, he's quite old isnt he? Even by keepers standards? If he was a young whippet of a keeper then fine, but a keeper of his age shouldnt be giving himself that much work to do. However there is no denying the fact that he was unfortunate that the Czech caught the ball perfectly, power and accuracy, the bend he put on it as well. 9 times out of 10 that just wouldnt happen. But if the keeper was standing even a few yards further back, he may not have even attempted it.
Can't wait for it. If Kane brings his shooting boots he could put himself into contention for the golden boot
And if he'd been closer to the goal he'd have run the risk of being far too slow off his line. I don't think he was positioned that badly, he ran what's generally an acceptable risk and it took an absolute freak effort to beat him. I just wouldn't feel too embarrassed by that.
Just saw it again and I take it back. He was probably 5/6 yards beyond what's considered nearly an acceptable risk.
Disappointing for Scotland. Even taking into account the boost they get playing England we should have far too much for them. Czechs don't look great either.
