Really could do with Shaw on the left as Trippier cuts back every time and slows things down.....

Should think he’ll be on when they think he can last the whole match if it includes extra time. About 86 minutes then.

Good half, dodgy goal but it wouldn’t have been surprising had we scored a couple more.

At some stage Weghorst will come on and then it will be like two exhausted fat blokes milling in an unlicensed fight in a meat market at dawn.

Agree re. Trippier slowing play down; we need to get the ball into the box faster, not camp outside looking for openings.

Dutch have reacted well, but it’s still really sad watching this team and thinking back to the brilliant way they played back in the 70s and 80s. And even bits of the 90s. Much more pragmatic nowadays. Obviously de Jong’s injury hasn’t helped, but Koeman is no Hiddink or Van Gaal as a coach, let alone a Cruyff or the genius Michels.
