So Foden is wandering more central leaving the right footed Trippier on the left..... surely you need over loads on both sides with quick passing in triangles to get in behind such rigid defensive style.... Saka and Walker aren't doing this on the right either.... it's all very pedestrian and predictable....

Trippier totally isolated on the left, no one out wide with him, so everything comes back inside.... might as well take him off, put Ebs on and go 3 at the back as Slovenia are offering nothing going forward.....
 
Why are English teams so obsessed with playing it all the way back from a throw-in near the opposition box.

To me it just shows all attacking drills start with the keeper & players no longer have the imagination to think for themselves.
