Here is the updated league table after the completion of the semi final stage. We now know that the finals will be all Premiership affairs with Liverpool taking on Spurs in Madrid on the 1st fo June, and Arsenal playing Chelsea in Baku on the 29th of May. Baku is in Azerbaijan closer to Mumbai than it is to London, a city more noted for producing Chess World champions than footballers. The points system increases again to 60 points for the right scoreline ie. 2-1 against 2-1, 32 points for the right score difference eg. 2-1 against 1-0, and finally, 12 points for the right result eg. 1-0 against 3-0. At the beginning I said that there was an extra 50 points each for tipping the winner of each competition - this was prior to the quarter final stage, and only Scully actually took me up on this one. But it still stands so if Liverpool actually wins the Champions League then he would make hay. The updated running totals for our league are on post 14, on page one. With only the final of the Chapions League left, we have 5 possible winners on here (I've gone through the maths carefully here). In the event of Spurs winning in 90 mins. then I win by default. In the event of it being level after 90 mins. then Chris would be top. A one goal winning margin for Liverpool would lead to Scullion coming top, unless it is 3-2, in which case Fez would be our winner. A two goal winning margin eg. 3-1 or 4-2 would lead to me winning it, unless it is 2-0, in which case Frenchie wins, to add to his FA Cup triumph. A 3 goal, or more, win for Liverpool gives it to Scully. The reason for Scully coming into the reckoning is that I initially said that there was a 50 point bonus for picking the winners of each competition (maximum 100 for both) if done prior to the quarter final stage - our Scully was very much awake at the time and actually did this (I did as well but fluffed it on Barcelona). Everyone else forgot to actually take advantage of this. All very clear
