They once stopped doing something I wanted so it is perfectly understandable. Now, 57 years later I have forgiven them.

But haven't the seedy six already signed a binding agreement to join the ESL? They have according to Signor Perez....Some greedy, smart arse lawyers are already rubbing their greasy hands together in anticipation of making a mint.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is to be investigated by Uefa over an "alleged financial interest in a betting company".

According to reports in his native Sweden, the AC Milan striker, 39, has broken rules after becoming a partner in a betting company.

Uefa's disciplinary regulations state players should not have a financial interest in betting.

Last week he signed a new contract that will run until after his 40th birthday.

"A Uefa ethics and disciplinary inspector has today been appointed to conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the Uefa disciplinary regulations by Mr Zlatan Ibrahimovic for having an alleged financial interest in a betting company," a Uefa statement said.

The former Manchester United striker has scored 17 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions this season.

Ibrahimovic came out of international retirement after a five-year absence to play for Sweden earlier this year.

Chelsea are introducing a supporter presence in the form of three "supporter advisors" at club board meetings from 1 July.

Those that attend a certain number of meetings will be able to nominate a charity of their choice to donate £2,500 to.

I saw the headline and thought 'what's he got to do with it?' but then realised the golf bods were talking about the same as ESL!

good old Man U fans eh

While English football was taking to the streets in fury, in Italy #CeferinOut has been trending in protest at the UEFA chief who helped block the Super League.

Negative reaction in Spain has been muted, too.

It couldn’t happen here, we proudly tell ourselves, yet what if fan representatives on the board heard the spiel and were taken in?

What if they, too, became convinced these small, undeserving clubs were a burden and for mediocre Arsenal to claim their entitlement they had to join a league of their peers? One of the members of the Manchester United Supporters Trust set out his beliefs after Sunday’s demonstration.

‘I love this club more than anything in the world,’ he wrote, 'and to see it on a decline over the last 15 years is not the way we are supposed to function.’
So is that what the protest was really about? No league title since 2013, no Champions League win since 2008. It wasn’t about greed, the closed shop, the dominance of a tiny elite? Would success for United’s dissenting voices simply be total, suffocating supremacy, minus the Glazers? Maybe we’re not on the same page after all.

For now, supporters from all levels of the pyramid have banded together. Those who have turned against their clubs have even won admiration. Yet in Italy and Spain their equivalents have bought the sales pitch.

It couldn’t happen here? That’s if we believe we all desire the same outcome. Just in case we’re wrong, it may be worth putting the locks on.
