The top 5 won, while Northern Ireland were held by Paint Pot winnrs Moldova. This means the Irish can no longer win automatic promotion and will be in the playoffs. Latvia will be promoted if they beat Kazakhstan at home and if Belarus lose at home to Azerbaijan and the Faroes lose in Georgia.

At the end of the season I will do a World "Champions League" and a "Worldopa" League.

For the other 5 federations I will simply take the highest in order of the latest FIFA Rankings to decide the qualifiers.


The Formats will be as follows:

Champions League - Four from each federation, making 24 sides.
They will go into 6 groups of 4 [no 2 from the same federation in a group]. The top 2 go through to the next stage, 3rd place will drop into the Worldopa League and 4th place is eliminated.
We then have 4 groups of 3 [same federation teams can now be in the same group] with the top 2 going into the quarter finals.

Worldopa League - 3 from each federation made into 3 groups of 6 [no 2 from the same federation in a group].
The top 3 from each group go through, being joined by 6 Champions League sides. We then have 3 groups of 5 with the top 2 and the best 2 3rd placed sides qualifying for the quarter finals.


European qualifiers for the competitions will be on the same lines as we have in the Premier League and FA/Capital One Cups.

At the top it’s going to be Rep of Ireland against Romania and Hungary against Austria I the playoff semi finals. In the league fixtures Romania won 5-2 in Ireland and Ireland won 2-1 in Romania. Both matches between Hungary and Austria ended 2-2. Israel, Turkey and Slovenia all miss out on the playoffs on goal difference.
At the bottom Finland are down after losing 6-3 in already relegated Slovakia, While Iceland held champions Sweden to a draw in Stockholm and Poland climbed out of the bottom three with a hard fought 3-2 win at the Millennium Stadium; a result that sees Wales finish at the foot of the table.
