Leicester Square brewing up trouble. Hundreds here. Men throwing pint glasses into the air, trees ripped up, flares, bottles thrown at windows. It’s not even 2pm.

    Why - just drunk ?

Mindless- probably won’t even be sober enough for the football !
    Defensive set up ?

Not expecting a classic really .

    1-0 either way .

Let's hope football and England are the winners and main talking points tonight but I fear not.

Well the polis and the army should go in and sort them out, unacceptable behaviour.

Enjoy the game all, if you can.

A good first half from England, and a super goal. I find that 1-0 is just as stressful as 0-0, so supplies are being put to good use. :emoticon-0111-blush

    That was a shame.

Too many indecisive penalties from young players.

So once again it is so near yet so far. England did better through the competition than I thought they would, so well done to the whole team for all the hard work they put in.

How did Southgate manage to smuggle Kane onto the pitch after the end of extra time to take the first penalty

Technically he didn't even start, unless you call running slowly around in midfield doing his best to avoid contact with the ball playing for his team

It is a shame that the scenes outside and inside the stadium have been flashed around the world, and people will think twice about wanting further tournaments played in England.

Yes and won’t look good on our chances of hosting other tournaments.

This reminds me of when Watford got to their first cup final. It was as if that was the achievement rather than winning the final game.
As for some of the fans, I wonder how they will get on in Qatar.

Easy to say now, but as soon as Rashford had his stuttering run up I thought uh-oh. That miss felt like the turning point. Just know which corner you’re hitting it, run and hit it. If it’s in the corner, the keeper can never get it, as Kane and Maguire showed.

What’s going to the the situation with alcohol for the tournament? I remember FIFA forcing stadiums in Brazil to sell beer because of sponsorship, even though normally they didn’t sell alcohol in stadiums there.
