Plenty of pressing by the French but just lacking the quality to finish....Romania done very little since missing the early chance but making life a bit difficult for the French in final third.... Someone needs to put their foot on the ball and take game by scruff of the neck.....hope for more quality in 2nd half...
France look very good and Romania have defended well. I suspect if England had played that 1st half against France we'd be a goal or 2 down already.
Missed another sitter. French defence really not up to much. But Kante is just doing what he does, and with Pogba and Payet that is potentially a class midfield.
What's happened to DT? I've missed his withering put-downs of England, I'd have expected him to have been crowing about French prospects by now...
Him and Kilburn are badly missed on here. Both contain a unique sense of humour. Just hope both of them are OK.
Payet appears to be in tears as he came off. Hope he can handle the latter stages of the competition if they get there.
Goal worthy of winning any game...... Fair play to Romania they hustled the French all over the pitch.....would expect France to improve now that the opening occasion is out of the way...... Until the morrow....
Hi Eamonn, I'm here (for a few mins), just watched a magnificent winning goal by Payet for France. I have been rather busy recently as I'm currently working a 2nd evening/weekend job until end of July as an Enumerator for Statistics Canada on the 2016 Canadian Census non-response follow-up campaign. This will help pay for family summer vacation in August and also take a bite out of my CRA income tax debt (the working middle class here get totally screwed with child tax credits, tuition credits etc) Just heading our now to hit the streets, at least I'm assigned to work in my own neighbourhood of almost 30 years. I tend to end up eating late which probably a bad habit to get into. Most people are friendly, especially when they see your official credentials, no fierce dogs encountered yet. Hope you have a wonderful trip in Europe and that the Republic of Ireland do well and make you proud.
