Britain churn out enough Accountants and economists to beat the band with but they produce nothing of note. I think there is a factory near Derby that makes lawn mower parts actually.

Political leaders in Northern Ireland and Scotland are challenging David Cameron over his decision to veto agreement in the European Union.

Environment Minister Alex Attwood said the PM’s decision could have major implications for the relationship between the devolved administrations and their European neighbours.

The Stormont minister said he will call for the UK's regional leaders to seek talks on the issue with Mr Cameron.

“The decision of the Prime Minister has fundamental and far reaching consequences for people in the north and our government must recognise that,” said the SDLP Assemblyman.

“That is why I am writing to the First and Deputy First Ministers urging that they speak with their counterparts in Scotland and Wales to convene an urgent meeting with the Prime Minister to work through the consequences of his decision.

“David Cameron must account for his conduct and his decision, not just in London, but to administrations in Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff.”

The SDLP man branded the Conservative Party leader's actions as a “walkout”, which Mr Attwood said had “particularly negative implications” for Northern Ireland and its trading relationship with the Republic of Ireland.

In Scotland, First Minister Alex Salmond accused Mr Cameron of “blundering into the UK's relationship with the European Union” without discussion with his coalition colleagues or the devolved administrations.

What will we trade with Europe? Germany make all the best stuff

All Europe has to do is raise tax on UK goods while allowing free trade inside the Union....much like Prussians did to help create Germany

They already hijacked a deal with China from the UK so exports will rely on the US, who are grumpy with us over lockerbie or south america, which will upset the US more

The City is what has been "protected" but what use is that when every **** who can do a sum is being hounded for his bonus...he will leave for Malaysia

The US of E is a trading block we are about to run away from...and we have bugger all to trade ourselves

    Imo

Well for a start we could reintroduce Creamola Foam. That would end poverty in Britain in an instant.

China as someone said is the way to go.

You see that's those fascists up to their world domination malarkey yet again.

When will people learn that Germans are inherently evil and domineering?

The only option now is to go to the USA, take 20 secured boxes, Noel Edmonds, and see what we come back with

We buy far more from Europe than they do from us so there is no chance they'll be making it more expensive to trade with them.

Exactly. The other thing people forget is that they can't actually exclude us from their meetings - if they do then they're not EU meetings so cannot be held on EU premises or use resources such as the Commission, Council and translators. So they're kind of stuck with us!

None, we are blackballed , so when the Jerries and the Frogs decide to carve up Poland again we'll be left to fight over the Sudetenland with the Euro Minnows like Lichenstein and Luxembourg. It's like deja vu all over again.
