    Yeah. At very least one of the CL spots should go to the FA Cup winner, then we're garunteed to have 2 champions going to the Champions League, rather than one. It'd make the FA Cup more interesting too.

    Surly only the winner would get to play in it (not the loosing finalist if the winner has already qualified), or else we could end up with a team like milwall playing CL football <yikes>

    If the winner of the FA Cup also qualifies through the league then they should be entered twice into the CL playing in each round twice on Tuesday and Wednesday until one of them gets knocked out, then they carry on as usual. I realise this could get weird if they draw themselves so maybe we should just start the FA Cup again.. and again until someone that hasn't already bloody qualified wins it! <yikes>

    How about if they win the FA cup and they have already qualified, they get thrown out for being greedy bastards.

    I think Liverpool could beat Everton. But I'll be honest, I can't see it. Everton are a very good side and as usual they have just hit their straps. They usually see this form through to the end of the season so Liverpool will need to get some confidence back from somewhere.

    You all are failing to consider SODS law. (THE LAW IN WHICH ANYTHING BAD THAT CAN HAPPEN WILL OCCUR)

    In this case it will be Everton will win and we will finish 6th and not get into europe.

    I don't think the cup should qualify a team for anything.

    It should be the best 4 sides get champions league spots, the 5,6 and 7th get Europa.

    That's how it should be.

    Bring back the cup winners cup, return the UEFA Cup to its original format, and make the European Cup for the actual league winners. That's the way it should be. The CL is just about money, as is the Europa. As I say it is comical and devaluing that a team who finished 4th in their league can be champions of europe the following year. How? They weren't even the best their league had to offer! The you have a Europa League with god knows how many games, despite regularly being told we have too many. And that is without getting into the comical situation where CL sides enter the competition as a fallback!

    It all boils down to one thing, and one thing only, greed.

    Better if Chelsea go out of the champions league aswell, if Chelsea somehow pull off the miracle of the century for them and win the champions league and we finish 5th and Spurs or Arsenal are 4th, Spurs or Arsenal would get the 5th spot place in the Europa that Chelsea would have got as Chelsea would have to take the 4th champs league spot for winning.

    Best for Benfica to win just to be safe ;)
