    Some joker actually asked on Twitter last night if we could opt out of the Europa League, as 'staying in the Prem' is more important than playing 'teams we've never heard of on a Thursday night'. Sometimes, there are no words.......

    Will they see sense and revert back to a quicker knock-out style like the old UEFA Cup?

    The current Europa League format is very off-putting for most clubs, too many fixtures and a lack of prestige attached.

    Benfica (who knocked out Spurs), Juventus, Sevilla and Valencia(who came back from 3-0 down to knock FC Basle out 5-4 on agg).

    The semi draw is just after the CL draw.

    I very much doubt Milan will qualify, but there's a good chance Inter will though. Would I, on this rare occasion, be permitted a 'half n' half'? I have had season tickets for both sides.

    One all spanish semi = Sevilla v. Valencia and the other semi is Benfica v. Juventus.

    The semi's to be played on 24th april and 1st may.

    Well as of about September last year I do neither - I'm boycotting City and I can no longer afford to fly out to Milan every other weekend.

    One season - I think it was Mancini's last in charge so probably 2008 - I mustve attended 15 Inter games and more than 20 City. They hardly ever clashed that season, it was great. Ive probably in person been to 50 Inter matches all in and I'd say about 500 City so therefore I must love City 10 times more.

    But dont tell Inter.

    The league format in the european competitions is wrong. Until they have a proper european league it is better to stick with knock out matches.
