I'm a lot more nervous about this game than i was about utd or Dortmund. Would have been more confident if we at least had Origi available. Villareal are the type of team we typically hate playing against. If we finish tonight needing a narrow win at Anfield i'll be happy.
Fine I'm working anyway lol. 2nd leg I will be nervous about. Just hoping for a good result tonite but if need be finish the job back home next week <OK>
Quietly confident. I think we are a stronger team (individually) than Villarreal, that wasn't the case against Dortmund. Remains to be seen whether we can play like a team though.
Can out of midfield and Sakho in defence with the likes of Toure as back up, I would imagine Villarreal will be confident in scoring past us. No urgency upfront with Origi being out either, I just feel we could be caught flat.
Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Lucas, Allen, Milner, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino Didn't expect that.
Firmino presses much better than sturridge and they seem to get in the way of each other when they play together. For an away game I think it is not a bad tactic
Slightly surprised but glad Super Joe has been rewarded with a start. Time for him to make a real good contribution and make himself unstoppable. Some me decent options on the bench if needed, surprised Sturridge is on the bench though. Thought he'd play today then rest at weekend
Good to see Firminho in his best position. A lot will depend on him, Coutinho and Lallana tonight they all have to put a performance in. I have a keg of Hobgoblin for this one, says on the side best drunk within 3 days once opened, think I can easily beat that!!
My son will be helping me out with it. Went to the local CO-OP, £2.50 a bottle of beer, but only £15 for a 5 litre keg.
