All I'll say we we cannot come out sleep walking here. We've done that too much. Bad half imo. We got into it a bit, they had 2/3 great positions but Allen missed a sitter 0-0 ain't too bad at all. If we can just get the main man on and make a chance....

good first half. defended well, frustrating them. they are a good team, the longer we keep them out and keep the ball the more the crowd will get on to them.
They look tight but they seem to let us have space deep in their half, one quick accurate pass and we're in. Otherwise it's us hoping Coutinho can hit one from 25 yds... Just to add: Toure doing very well, really showing his old head.
Hmmm. It's a European tie, so I should be happy that they haven't scored, but I don't think it'll stay that way. Put it this way, I can't see them going 180 minutes without scoring a few against us. BUT, organised as they are defensively, there's a goal at least here for us. They're letting us have most of the midfield, and so far Ford and Firmino are just giving it back to them. Is lallana on the pitch? Keep Ford on, you never know. Firmino and/or Lallana off for Studge and Oji/or Ibe I think. Maybe Ibe would provide better cover for Moreno if we put him on the right nad Milner on the left. Cut out that route and they've got nothing, I think.
Firminho is coming to deep for the ball. When we have no out and out centre forward on the pitch he needs to be further forward. Defence, though desperate at times have done well, Toure is showing that experience and positioning means you don't have to dive in or chase back to tackle, take note Moreneo
