I was happy that happened, as it allows us to conserve some energy for the Spurs game Sunday. No need to unnecessary waste more energy and risk potential injury when we were 5-0 up, especially with a difficult game away at the weekend.
I caught the second half (night school tonight,what a bastard) and I was a bit pissed off with Shelvey tbh. He needs to work on his game big time imo, his short passing game and first touch needs work and his decision making was e fankly shocking at times! why go for the long pass when its not on ? he aint playing at Liverpool now,where trying copy Stevie G is the way, he just needs to lend it out short and take it back,buying time for the right long pass. He has all the tools in his locker but he needs to remember he isn't the finished article yetand he isn't stevie 50 yard ball gerrard either ! The performance was pretty much spot on but got more lazy as the game went on. I love the way Laudrup is blooding the new guys, giving them 20 mins here and there is vitally important
