For me, if there was a risk, it was worth taking.

I don't give a **** about Man Utd. They've earned the right to be selective. It was our first ever European campaign. When do you think we'll have another?

Whether you like it or not, many do by the way, without the Premier League we wouldn't have just had one of the best days in our history 48 hours ago.

It didn't mean that much to me. It wouldn't make it into my top 20 City moments. We signed 2 player & took 2 on loan.

Well I'd respectfully suggest that you are in a VERY small minority

For a club like us to take lightly a European competition is in my mind disrespectful.
It is a damning enditement of the mentality that prevails in this country towards anything that's not PL or CC.
People seem to have been brainwashed and conjuled into a certain mindset.
We need to be careful that we don't become everything that we hated when we where in the bottom tier.
A good bash in the cup is needed to restore some redress.

The arrogance of some hull city fans baffles me.

Comparing us to man United and thinking we deserve the same arrogance that one of, if not the biggest club in the world affords.

I know you only started going last season mark but even a premier league newbie has to appreciate who we are and just how big that competition is for a club like ours.

What do we do if we get relegated, take nothing seriously?

And using Chelsea is a very poor example, they fielded full strength sides throughout once dropping into the Europa league, they took it very seriously indeed.

The are indeed but this one from last week really got on my man tits. Hoping your team gets a leathering FFS. PL whorism at it's worst.

"Personally, I wouldnt care if they do an MK Dons on us tonight. All that really matters is the Premier League!".

I really don't see it as arrogance. If anything its the reverse. Its knowing our club is fragile and there is safety in the premier league. Sadly, it all comes down to money. Not because we want to see Stevie g etc but because we want our club to continue in the upward path and worry what will happen if we go down.

Its not whoring, its wanting the best for your club and not wanting to go backwards. I'd love football to not be about money but we have what we have and its not too shabby at the moment.

I do respect the want to take the Europa league seriously as it could well be our only chance of such glories and i also understand your frustration when other supporters say there's always next year as that's highly unlikely but I believe brucey made the right (but unpopular) choice out of a difficult decision. Something the guy is paid a lot to do

It's the success and magnet of the PL which is ringing the death knell of Europe's second competition. It's sad since the UEFA Cup was very well respected (even the old CWC was another trophy to win) meaning Man U in '91 and Liverpool in '95 were more than proud to win the UEFA Cup.

I keep saying it but fewer games and a knockout style would bring back the romance and lessen the workload. 17 matches (such as Fulham's route) is plain ridiculous. It's asking too much commitment from smaller clubs.

These changes are all designed to keep the big boys on the telly.

Who these days has heard of such legendary names as Honved, Ferençvaros, Stade de Reims? Even Red Star Belgrade and Steaua Bucharest were a big draw and a tough assignment in the past

Okay. That attitude sucks, I can't bring myself to want us to lose but I don't think (maybe naïvely) many people think that way

I'm still pissed we're out, mainly because of the team selection in the first leg.

I find it bizare people saying we wouldn't have had the DD we did if we where still in Europe. It would of been more then likely We'd of done the same business.

We aren't going to win the league, but we still take that seriously.

Only one team in Premier League history has ever been relagated wile in Europe.
