That's a fair point - I am letting my view be distorted by the whole CL thing. But from Utd's point of view I don't think the EL will (or should) be given any higher priority than the CC was.

True enough, you aint Fulham after all.. They can beat us:)

Of couyrse UNited would as the CL is the target not the EL and CC is a lot closer to home Though if you could be in the CL and the EL at the same time but with different players, would United prefer to use that to blood players for the CL?, obviosuly its balls because you cannot but if you could?

Probably yes - not only to blood players but also to get more games for the squad players like Owen, Berb, Evans, Gibson, Park, Lindegaard etc. And the chance to win another trophy is not to be sniffed at even if it's a fairly minor one. I reckon more top level games are always better than less, provided we can rotate the squad as much as we want. Tho' logistically it could be a 'mare - can't see SAF and the coaching staff being happy about potentially being on Portugal on Wednesday for CL then Kazakhstan on Thursday for the EL. I reckon a fair few airlines would be getting an earful for the quality of their wine selections in that case ;)
