Not seen any of the qualifying or the last game. But, in this game at least England are very average.
That was truly dreadful. You need to put a defence under pressure which will bring mistakes, so we attack them, then stop and pass the ball back to the halfway line. This is the style of play used so far, and it just is not working;
Awful, like watching Watford before Clevs. Ref wasn't great, giving fouls when they wern't. As for the pitch....
Certainly was well below what we have seen generally. Pitch will probably be blamed but the tactics were pretty disappointing. Almost like we settled for 1-1.
I was with a bestie having our first night of since pre covid. England were secondary. I'll take the draw.
Apparently the BBC had a feature on Euro 92 before the game showing GT in a bad light with the media. I guess that was probably Lineker's idea!
Why anyone would listen to the guy who defecated on the pitch and wiped his bum on the grass during a televised international match is well and truly beyond me. He could have had the decency to keep an empty Walkers crisp packet in his pocket for such an occasion...
Georgia so close to winning - a perfect pass by Chak set them up for an unlikely winner with the last kick of the game - but over the bar the ball went...
Playing for Georgia he is like a Will Hughes, neat and tidy but with a bit more get up and go Hope TC is taking notes
It seems to me that players are constantly going down, clutching their shins and ankles. At one time shin pads were quite large, covering these areas, but now they are very small. Could this be the reason that we see the game being stopped so many times?
Hungary deserved that in the end . Had the better chances in a poor game . Hope the Hungay lad is ok.
