Yep that is the change I would have made too. Still, we have him on the bench to bring on. Albeit at 92 mins <laugh>

Clearly not broke if they are winning

Trust the process, when it works it will be brilliant

In what world is Trippier better than TAA?

That’s about the only issue I have with the team picked so I can live with that

Yeah I don't get that. Only potential thing I can think of is he'll be better to cover Mainoo when he's getting forward.

I'm happy that Southgate has changed shape. Fundamentally, it was the main reason why we have been struggling. The balance simply wasn't right. With Trippier on the right and Saka on the left as wing backs it should be a lot more balanced. Hopefully Foden has a free role behind Kane.

I like the formation more and hopefully it will allow our attacking players to flourish.

    Come on England.

Hoping there's more holes in the Swiss defense than their cheese. Only time will emental.

For goodness sake, why hasn't Southgate made any subs yet?

Remember that England hasn’t won anything under a Tory government :emoticon-0105-wink: <laugh>.
The 1966 World Cup was a few months after a landslide Labour win. Omen?

Trippier looks even more out of place as a LWB than he did as a LB

So Saka is RWB and Trippier LWB. Why? It was a catastrophic decision to not take a single fit left back and to have the only cover being someone who clearly isn’t confident there. Surely KWP is a better LB than trippier and not too dissimilar at Right back (if the spot had to go to a right back - which it didn’t )

KWP could have done a job here left or right.

    Agree with all.

Unfashionable choice but I've have taken Mitchell from Palace as the back up LB

The positioning, and interaction, of Walker and Saka has been more like a RB-RW rather than a RCB-RWB. I'm not convinced that Southgate has really changed much, aside from moving Foden centrally.

England better but look like if they’d played this system earlier they’d be better at it

Swiss look like they all know how their system works as they’ve done it all tournament

Maybe we’ll get slicker as the game progresses
