After the first 5-10 minutes it's been more mediocre than terrible. Not really a performance to answer the critics tbh. Gallagher and Bellingham anonymous, Rice has lacked the right idea or execution in important moments, while Kane doesn't look fit but still seems the most likely to score. Foden and Trippier probably the highlights so far.
They're definitely playing little better, a little quicker. A bit more movement. However, they're always playing the no risk pass, tona player who is retreating towards the ball. There have been so many times where they have rejected the chance to just play between two defenders to an unmarked player, who is only a few yards away. Not even hard passes or that risky.

Saka's struggled to influence the game but not sure how much that's his fault. He's looked alright when he's had the chance. Second half looking a bit better so far.
If Denmark fail to score, England top the group. England has easy run to finals because all the good teams are on the other side of the bracket.
As underwhelming as England have been a lot of sides look poor. Netherlands are really bad Denmark look like end of an era type of side, Portugal mixed. France not scoring. The class of tje field looked to ne Spain and we had a couple really good early games like turkey who thrm promptly.dropped the good players.

No. Mainoo isn't a attacking player.. just a central one. It's all down the middle into a packed defence with no ability to stretch it. Game was crying out for eze and bowen. Trent is now on at lb just to double down on his scape goating
