Looks like my France team playing no one and cruising the final then. Although not looking good for Croatia atm. Useless bunch.
Yeah, Turkiye topping their group- still on track to make it to last 16 so they can get knocked out as predicted. Serbia bottom of their group... but with Denmark and Solvenia still to play I'm still hoping they can get enough points that even if they finish bottom they can make it to the last 16 to get knocked out. Only losing by one goal to England was fortuitous. I think I'm still on track to have my two round of 16 eliminations.
Trent needs a hat trick of both assists and goals to avoid being lynched today. Foden hopefully will stink just that bit.more than the last day and calm the media and fans.
Talk was of Mainoo playing in his place. That would suit me as there's no risk of Trent getting injured, and I can be indifferent to the result as I usually am.
Yup..it'd set up mainoo as the next fall guy. If you get dropped and have to watch thr side win that's one thing but to sit and watch the next person do the exact same job and have to put up with foden stinking the left wing out and kane slowly stroll about waiting for a pen?
What does it take to be a consolation loser qualifier for round of 16. Think three points will be enough? This is probably Serbia's best chance.... C'mon, just one goal, all you need. I had pegged Serbia as being a 3rd placed qualifier from this group beating Slovenia and maybe getting a draw from Denmark... Time ticking down here.
Slovenia has scored. All my hopes and dreams have been dashed. Curse you Slovenia. Curse you Karniĉnik. And curse all the Kosovo seperatists that tore the sweet nation in two.
Yes... I wasn't sure whether to put Serbia as out in group stages or round of 16... Legit thought they might sneak through.... But I ultimately went with the numbers. 6 eliminated at group stage. 8 in round of 16. Statistically round of 16 will see most eliminated. Serbia have to beat Denmark now. Counting on Harry Kane to cripple half the Danish team with his clumsy tackles so Serbia has a chance against them.
The English in me obviously wants England to beat Denmark. The pseudo-Serbian in me wants a draw as that means everything still up in the air in the group and Serbia has a better chance at progressing, England will have to perform against Slovenia.
