Not going to call it to scud... but I'll say.. I don't think Southgates England's style pre empts a lot of pressure... maybe he learned as a player to play a style as manager that lowers expectation

I meant pressure from fans, media, etc, not via style of play.

We're expected to win = pressure
Against Germany, knowledgeable fans excited us to lose = play a bit more freely (of expectation)
 
Interesting line up. Surprised Hendo isn’t in for one of rice and Phillips. If they both get booked you have to change your whole midfield for a semi final with 2 players Hendo and Bellingham that have hardly played all tournament.

at least putting one in now you only run risk of losing 1 of them for semi.

Should win this based on form and ability, Ukraine have beaten north Macedonia and Sweden to get through. Lost to Holland. Lost to Austria in the groups. Snuck through with 3 points.

Ah.. yeah... but then Germany issue was one of past... when Germans said they don't see the rivalry the same ..it because they were usually the better team before kickoff...

This game? Anything can happen but what I meant was Southgate seems to play the hype down... dunno what he says to players... but what he's just said in that interview... "there's no pressure from the past because its not very good" thought that was a great line tbh... you aren't living up to something you can create something
 
Their no 4 just wandered off ball watching and left kane. Absolutely terrible defending tha k you very much.

This should be piss easy but england already sitting back to defend it a bit.
