At least the games today were a better watch mostly. Not a shock in sight though which in itself is a bit boring. Hazard was amazing in tonights game and it was the performance of the tournament so far for me. It's breathtaking watching him go past players as if they weren't there and his passes are sublime sometimes. England tomorrow so back to the boring crap I suspect.

Almost speechless. That was worse than terrible and the whole of that squad should hang their heads in shame. Iceland were no great shakes but the England players were just awful. I'm glad they got shamed tonight I really am because none of them deserve to play for England again. I want to find one player who deserved to be exempt but I can't. Rooney was probably the worst of all.

It was disgraceful. No pride , passion or pace-Rooney may as well retire from international football as he should never play for England again. I ought to be disappointed, but I no longer expect anything different from England.

When you think that these players play in the top league in the World and get paid mega bucks to do it you have to wonder what it's all about don't you. One of the many reasons I don't bother with the premiership. Has Roy resigned yet?

It looks like Roy Hodgson had that statement written in his pocket going into the game. That's confidence!

I think he's had it in his pocket since 2012...

At least no penalty shoot-out humiliation this time.

What I've noticed is the passion some teams have singing their national anthem.....watch England singing and you know who wants to win more....and it ain't England,.......you could see that the Italians wanted it......passion showed in their singing.

Hardly any of the Icelandic team sang a note if you were watching. I think the lack of passion showed in their play not the song contest. Pretty much all of them looked like they would rather be anywhere than in an England shirt in France.

Oh come on, look on the bright side, Kari Arnason played well.

So we brought back Kane and Sterling, both of whom were clearly badly out of form in the first game and both were useless again. Vardy, who's on fire and has his future settled at Leicester, was left on the bench. We knew Iceland would defend in depth and had no plan to break them down. We knew Iceland used long throws and couldn't defend them. What have they been doing if not planning and training for this?

It looked like Roy Hodgson had a prepared resignation speech ready.....he surely didn't have any time to write what he read when he resigned.....makes you wonder if his lack of confidence rubbed off onto the players.

Bringing back Sterling made me wonder if he new how to play this one.....and Rooney strolling around the mid-field wouldn't have scared anyone......hopefully a new manager will end the love affair with Hart in goal.......Hodgson's faith in playing Jack Wilshere was quite baffling....he brought absolutely nothing to the game.

Bringing Marcus Rashford on just before the end was too little too late....he showed that he was up for it but was given not enough time to work with......what does it say about the so called pro's in the team when an eighteen year old with very little league experience is brought on to save the match for Hodgson.....what where they expecting him to do coming on 86 minutes into the game.

Jamie Vardy's limitation are noticeable against teams that defend deep.....no space for him to run into behind the defenders where his space can be so devastating.

Defensively we are lacking two strong central men......Smalling is reasonable in the air but Cahill just didn't look good enough and had no control.

That's just about the entire team Plymborn!

We'll have to work with what we have. I don't see Rooney at the next World Cup, so he might as well retire graciously now. He's always tended to unbalance the team anyway.

After that, it's making the best of the rest. Mark Hughes for manager? I know he's Welsh but glittering playing career and he's done a fantastic job managing Stoke. Couple of years with England and he'd be ready to step back up to the Wales job....

PS Rashford did look our best player but I think the policy should be to send young players to at least one Under-21 tournament before being in the full squad for the Euros or World Cup. It can't be right to put so much on an 18 year old.

In this one particular match none of the players looked like they had ever played before let alone with each other. Rashford was only on for a few minutes so he doesn't really come into this. Can't break down defences and can't defend long throws.......erm.......hang on I've heard that somewhere before. They couldn't have been watching Argyle videos could they?

Who would want to take over being Manager of England? If anyone does then they should be ruled out immediately as not being of sound mind. I simple cannot think of anyone who is a stand out candidate. Mind you I'm beginning not to care if honest. Having been let down so many times now by these useless bunch of tossers. Successive Managers and players have managed to do it. It's almost a relief to get it over with.
