Why was Hodgson given the chance to resign, the FA should have announced his sacking in the time it took him to have his final face rub and shake hands with the Iceland manager.

He had a pre-prepared resignation speech which amounts to "I won't ask for a new contract so let me run out the rest of this one without saying I got sacked"

FA are going to launch a euro 2016 review... No doubt spending thousands of pounds to come the conclusion that we were ****.
Money that would be better spent refunding the daft ****s that went to last night's match believing England would stroll it.
England's football team is like the UK, some good people in it but led by a shower of useless ****wits.
Yeah there are decent people in the country, I know it, I speak to them most days and keep telling myself, but they are outnumbered at least 3-1 by the braindead morons, about the ratio of bad players to decent-ish ones in the England team
