Spot on. They've actually blown a trophy as a result 12 years ago. You'd think someone would've tried to put some development into this.
 
Is that an important point brought up by studio (only slightly a dig this) but any other team if somebody is missing free kicks and penalties this much
....someone else would take over.

On one side this proves my point earlier abut people being afraid of saying to him..but tbf you'd always give it to him...
 
Or is that the issue? Too many players get to hide behind the one guy...and it becomes a habit? Always thought it about Stevie G in his decline...he kept thinking it was all on him because everyone else bar maybe Suarez hadn't balls enough to say what needed to be said...

He got balloon d or when he won **** all so I think he's ego is from his point justified.

Great player but how the **** he won over ribbery is a ****ing mystery.

**** knows what the media and like would have done if other way round. Called it a crime lol

I think in some national psyche it's a seniority thing. I'm sure I've heard the longest serving player for Italy is always captain. Likewise I think Figo was taking Portugal's pens right to the end. He was captain also. I'm not sure but I think there's some heirarchy stuff going on with some continental teams maybe.
 
Also...don't get this argument about the lower teams lowering the quality...up until this one...as a comp the Euros has always been seen as a better quality over all in terms of the teams in it...

Sorry, yes the wee teams are sitting back but name the usual top teams with quality strikers...or any strikers?

Feck me after watching the matches so far I'm starting to understand why Roy brought 5 of them....
