germany for me. they should win 2 of the group and win to the final... should....

spain i think are going in here with a team that's a bit inexperienced

France should win and have griezmann so that can't be discounted but culd draw 2 in group

Portugal could win all 3 in thier group.. its a dolly... but we all know they can't score goals so will that chance this time?

Germany will in group C, the first knockout round will put them against 2rd place team so they are almost assured of winning that.. they will then play maybe belgium or italy.. this is the one game i think you can't call...

Portugals group looks pretty good and fancy Spain to win theirs easily.

The play between Rashford, Rooney and Sterling for the second goal was superb.

Second goal was a good one.

Game was fairly **** though overall, decent play for both goals, albeit we got slightly lucky with the first, but we really should be beating the Aussies by 4 or 5 goals really, even if it is a friendly.

Rashford should go based on form, the kid is a diamond of a find for club and now country albeit accidentally due to injuries, its not like England are likely to win it so what's to lose including a star of the future who'll gain valuable experience if chosen.

My view is with rooney kane and vardy the remaining forward slot might as well go to youth.

Nothing at all to do with sturridge training injured and escaping the clutches of the old goon.

Rashford looks like a star in the making. Just hope from an england point we don't over hype and ruin him.

Best forwards I have seen for england was shearer and sherringham. If we can find that again who knows.

SaS mkI was brilliant. Wasn't a bad side behind it either, shame we lack left footed / sided players at the time

I was a good left sided player and left footed. Sadly I found drugs drink and sex first <laugh>

Used to play footie with a Lad who could have made it big as he was very good but he smoked too much pot and sadly he wouldn't take my advice lol. But do we ever listen to others advice until its too late<laugh>

I was at school with five or six that were recruited by clubs, only one made it professionally but only got a high as Stags in League Two. Annoyingly, two of them (neither got beyond the youth setup) were definitely good enough but weren't committed enough.

Yep seen it too often mate.

Shame I didn't have my head screwrd on as never know. Bit like education. You want to do whatever well get your head down and commit then you are earning the money to do whatever it is you think you need. Look at Merson adams and best just off the top of my head to see that.

Forgot add gazza to that list.

Other side to that though is look at Ronaldo and messi for how it should be done

I'd liketo think I'd have ganged the opportunity had I had that level of ability but I'm not sure. It's easy to say it now but, as you say, hindsight and knowledge is a wonderful thing that you just don't have a a teenager.

I'm a pretty good snooker player and was advised to take it seriously when I was just 8-10 years old but I wasn't interested. Same short of thing I guess.

Decision day for Hodgson, if Sturridge has proven his fitness the manager will choose him no doubt.
If that's the case will he still take Rashford at the expense of a midfielder/defender?

I doubt it unless he thinks he's playing 2 up every game.

    We will see though...
