The English LFC players did well tonight. Johnson was great, Gerrard good (superb delivery) and Carroll did well when he came on (should probably have started). Henderson came on to run around and harry.

LFC players in general are having or have had a good Euros.

Think the Italian formation did it for them - very daring.

Young is going to get the blame but should Hodgson take some for not subbing him off instead of Milner. Actually thought Milner was OK today. My pen's would have been, Gerrard, Rooney, Cole, Johnson & Terry. Players that have had decent tournaments and games and are feeling confident rather than Young who has had a shocker.

it's not nice to wish a head injury on someone, but everyone knows we'd have been in a better position

I honestly wanted the same thing. At the time the commentator said something like, "I hope he's alright." I just wanted him to be hurt enough to be subbed. I think Young has talent but every time he received the ball I just thought we'd lose possession. Shouldn't have played as much as he did. Why was Milner subbed - I was screaming for Young to go off even then! Oh, well.

I agree with this. What were the tactics? Defend and hope to nick one? That ain't good enough. That's why we got rid.

Hodgson was scared to take the piss poor Rooney off instead of the piss poor Wellbeck.

Bottom line,England need a manager that doesn't bow to the media or a certain club boss with big red conk.

Really? We were the worst team in 4 games out of 4. The thing is possession wins 9/10 in international football. Everyone says, why dont England play the same way as they do in the Prem, the reason being all the players that dictate the tempo for teams aren't English. Arteta, Modric, Cabaye, Lucas just a few examples and until we get English players that start doing that we'll never be able to hold onto the ball, even against lesser opposition.
