Feet on the ground chaps <laugh> this is still England and we'll still get robbed at some point especially with the 3 fascist nations potentially facing us <whistle> even if we pay the eyeties 20 euros to let us win we'll still get robbed by the owners of Europe...especially as they have a Muller AND a Bender <ok>

Would still love to win it though especially as The S*n would look like total Kuntz for their early Woy covewage

Quality post!

No wonder htey call us deluded.

You lot <doh>

England were sh!t against an average team that has they been given their goal would have went on to win, most likely.

Italy are no great shakes, against Ireland they needed a ref ready to pander to every whim for a free kick and thats what they got.

Re the goal that was never, noticed media mentioning fk all but after SA.. FFS, do Ukraine get a ref in hte final this time as a "sorry".

And the official saw the goal and decided for some reason not to give it, he DID see it cross the line, so why did he not give that, obvious really

The Ireland Italy game and last night reminded me why I dont pay to watch football any more

It is fking panto

From a neutral point of view England need to play the usual back 4 and then below if they are to beat Italy. I don't think Roy has the balls to drop some players so will go with Milner, Young and Rooney and get stuffed.

Walcott -Parker- Gerrard-Ox Chamberlain

---------Carroll-Welbeck---------------

@SeppBlatter: After last night’s match #GLT is no longer an alternative but a necessity.

And:

Now the majority agree about GLT in one way or another but it is hilarious that the refs in this case are banned for getting a line call wrong as opposed to for missing the offside!

This is just getting silly.

Don't fancy England against Cassano, Pirlo, Marchisio and Di Natale.

I do. Even we can beat them if they only use 4 players! ;)

Seriously, though, I've been impressed with the England team's spirit. At the end of the Ukraine game (not immediately, as if it was planned) they all got into a huddle - I've never seen an England team look so close-knit in recent memory. That being said, Italy will be very tough, although they did make tough work of it against Ireland, who were unlucky not to do better. I think it'll be very close, but we still have a fighting chance.

Most of the games look fairly even - I wouldn't be surprised if any team left got through to the next round, with one exception. I can't see Greece getting a result against the Germans, but you never really know in football. If they do win it'd be the shock of the tournament, but I can't see it happening.

Think there will be any upsets?

Wow! Really? What happened after the Germany game incident? Similar punishments, I presume? Otherwise there'd be colossal double standards at work. I'm sure that wasn't the case. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Blatter's comments after our goal that wasn't given against Germany was something along the lines of 'that's the joy of football'.

After Chelsea beat Bayarn in the Champions League final, he question whether there was an alternative way to end a game after extra time other than penalties.

England have a bit a luck with a goal line incident and sudden GLT is a necessity...<doh>

I think Blatter should be a knew insult, ie - you absolute Blatter <ok>
