He looks good in this tournament but I am hesitant, we have been stung in the past when buying players based on tournament performances.

Besides, FSG won't sanction a signing based on half a dozen games, and that's assuming Russia make the final!
He was one of the young players that was being tipped to shine at this tournament. Heard that he's had a good season, so whilst its still early dont think its just tournament form.

Saying that the Russian players have shown that they dont fair well when in England.

CSKA Moscow. Hardly like he's playing for some ****ing amateur Belarusian side.

Wasn't saying he does, I was saying I am not going to say we should sign purely based on the Euro's. Not seen anything of him playing for CSKA Moscow <ok>

Not to incur the wrath of Chelsea fans and it seems like he's carrying an injury but does anyone else feel Cech has "courage" problems since his head injury?

Both with Chelsea & at this comp I've watched and his "errors" usually occur when he has to make contact with a player. It would be understandable why due to the nature of his injuries but it reduces him from world class if he is hesitant in coming out to meet the ball in a crowd or on rushing situation.

Maybe I'm inferring rather than truly seeing.

Cech's never been the same player since that head injury. He is still a quality keeper but he does seem a little hesitant going into challenges etc.

Yesterdays error was a shocker. How he had the nerve to blame the defender is beyond me. He missed the catch and the ball drop from his hands before he or the ball got near the defender. I don't care if the defender is impending or not, the keeper should take the ball and, if necessary, man too!

Few players ever recover their initial high standards after a serious injury imo. It's understandable that it's always in the back of your mind no matter how hard you try to overcome it.
I think being a 'keeper is insane anyway- sticking your head down there amongst all those flying boots.
I wouldn't blame Cech if he's lost his nerve a little, it was a terrible injury.

I have got to get as much of my work done by 12 here because I will be useless from that point on <ok>

Miguel Veloso plays for almost relegated Genoa, would be an awesome signing I think. Lovely left foot. Why he went to Genoa in the first place is beyond me!

Ronaldo missed a sitter there, poor thing.

Haha!

3-2! Cracking game, by the substitute! let's buy him he is amazing! <laugh>

Ronaldo was poor then. He always seems to be poor in international tournaments, too much expectation and pressure???

I wanted Portugal to lose this game until about 11.30am today...I found out that I have them in the work sweepstake <ok> Only thing is, I wanted to see Holland do well but its not possible for both Portugal and Holland to progress...
