But the trouble is whoever plays Ireland now has an unfair advantage as ireland are out and have nothing to play for. Teams dont push for more goals to help their GD at all now unless they are a couple of goals near a championship or relegation rival. They are just happy to get the 3 points. Even Man U were doing that late in the season and not pushing for more goals. Also its more exciting going head to head as it means the games between the rivals are so much bigger, they are effectively now 7 pointers.

The goal difference was irrelevant to United as City were so far ahead but if they were close it would have been great to see them both trying to stuff teams rather than being content with 1-0s.
