Think Custard has had an epic meltdown...one of the best no matter how subtly he plays it down.

He actually started off serious and putting up a fight....then when he ran out of debate the memes started to do his talking...I knew it was over.

Now he has just become shameless about it when he could look like a colossus of a man by actually admitting that maybe he was misguided as can happen to us all.

I'm loving the xenophobic claptrap on another meme above. Apparently young people can't get jobs because the foreigners (who are simultaneously sponging off the dole) are stealing their jobs. And young people can't get on the housing ladder because all the foreigners (who happen to be on the dole btw) are buying up all our properties.

Ofcourse the mere fact that market conditions driven by investors and a growing indigenous working population built predominantly on First Time Buyers has nothing to do with it <doh> Like I said, I despair at the level of xenophobic ****wittery!

The "they come here stealing our jobs" while "all claiming benefits" argument is exactly the same **** spouted in the 1970s whdn I was at school. .. the lazy feckers can't even be bothered to make up new lies.
It don't seem very complicated to me...we need more houses and hospitals and school so build them...it'll create hundreds of thousands of jobs, create affordable homes, give people money to spend, create a bigger and better health service and school service creating yet more jobs. So more people are paying tax via work, and national insurance and via VAT with their shopping. But instead of investing in people like this we allow multinationals and the richest in society to avoid taxes (costing billions a year) anc get nothing coming in.
But Boris and co can blame foreigners, the EU and everyone else while lining their own pockets and the pockets of their wealthy business friends.

I also find it distasteful that people insist that Syrian men should risk dying by fighting a war rather being allowed to come here. They didn't arm Assad and aint responsible for his regime. Seems ****ing heartless to me in all honesty

It's the same bullshit they used to punish the poorest in our society for the credit crunch by making sure they felt the austerity measures more than the richest in this country (who were largely responsible). It's amazing that these very same people who were hit the hardest are now buying the same crap arguments that were used against them!!!

Not my text (its to well written to be mine)

    I wonder if Remainians realise what a bloated inefficient (and growing) monster they would be forcing us to fund;

    Some figures:

    • Number of government officials earning more than our Prime Minister (who gets paid just shy of £150,000). In Britain, the latest figure stands at 319; the EU - 10,000
    • £240 monthly allowance for stay-at-home spouses and the £100-a-month allowance per child. On top of that, European taxpayers spend an estimated £80 million each year in school fees for Eurocrats' children
    • Last week, the European Parliament should have been hosting a review of the 'Multiannual Financial Framework', the long-term budget for the entire EU. But the two-day conference has now been postponed until after the British referendum — with good reason, according to British Euroscpetics.
'They're already £20 billion short, they have multiple crises and they are going to need billions more.

    • Each of the 28 EU nations dispatches a commissioner — a senior politician or a crony — to supervise a department within this bloated behemoth of 33,000 bureaucrats.
    • Life as a European commissioner is very rewarding — £200,000 basic salary, personal staff, platinum pension and even £8,000 a month in 'transition payments' for three years when you eventually step off the gravy train.
    • Commissioner for migration - Asked about the slow pace of relocating some of the 160,000 immigrants due for resettlement, he has a swipe at politicians who make 'not helpful' statements and warns: 'Member states have to speed up their efforts. Very soon I will be even more vocal, naming and shaming the countries that do not comply.'
In other words, he'll lean on nations to take more migrants, or else! (After the 23rd naturally)

    • The unelected Commission is not, as some still imagine, a civil service which answers to the elected representatives of the people. It's the other way round. And if any lowly MEP wishes to take a commissioner to task, he or she must submit a question in writing and then wait six weeks for a reply.
    • MEPs simply have to sign a register to claim an automatic £240 daily allowance (on top of their £80,000 salary).
    • The vast institution packs up and moves house for four days a month. This costs £150 million a year.

Yes, there is too much of a gravy train going on with MEP's, and it needs to be curtailed. But again, we'll change nothing by walking away.
Most of the other figures you've posted are largely irrelevant as they're a minuscule amount if the overall EU budget.

If you are not part of it, you dont pay it, so a win win, also we will never be able to curtail it, even if we stay in, to many fingers in the pie to change that.

So, top of the leavers poll are UKIP & BNP supporters. Well, what a surprise!

But, of course, there's no bigots, xenophobes, or little Englanders in the leave campaign!.....<laugh>

George is regularly predicting the demise of Europe anyway, irrespective of UK remaining, particularly if they don't create a workable immigration policy with more controls.

Him and some other experts also predicted similar doom and gloom if we didn't join the single currency.

The linked articles also mention other experts that disagree with him.

You pay your money, you select your quote. <ok>

He's warning of you of the immediate effects on the UK economy! Also, of the lack of room to maneuver that the BOE will have. These are all the things that I, and others have warned of. Do not underestimate the significant hit the UK economy will take. It has just fought its way out of the deepest recession since the Second World War. If it votes leave, with the economy still in its nascent recovery, it will plunge itself into another one. It's pretty much like taking a knife and cutting your own throat!...

Yes, he has warned that unless Europe reforms it will be in trouble. That was some time ago.

Some time ago being this year.

You hang your hat on quotes that support your opinion, and ignore quotes, sometimes from the same people, that don't.

There's a trend for supporting opinions to be portrayed as facts, and opposing ones as guesses.

    It's the politics of fear.
