What I will say in Custard's defence is that his views aren't a knee jerk reaction to the prospect of Brexit. He's made it clear for some time that he's anti foreigners and an islamophobe. He's said on several occasions that he doesn't consider London to be British anymore as it's been overrun by foreign types.

He may be a bigot but he's a long term bigot.

 

A quick note on Scoland and the chances of another referendum:

1) It is highly likely that upon a Brexit any EU funding to various areas of the U.K. Would be guaranteed by our government for X number of years which will dampen the appetite for it.

2) Given how recently they have had a referendum it would be difficult for them to argue warranting a new one and at the very least it is likely they would need to wait until after the next Scottish Election to have a large majority for the SNP to even begin to justify trying to call for one.

3) The economics of a Scottish exit from the UK was based largely on Oil prices remaining both high and stable, of which they haven't been either recently. Scottish independence was largely beaten due to people not trusting the economic plan was strong enough and with current figures it would look even worse.

In summary a Scottish referendum on leaving is actually rather unlikely and even more unlikely to actually succeed.

 

4. Joining the Euro.
Because attempting unguaranteed use of GBP when the UK is out of the EU is
going to be a bed of stability and really impress the ratings agencies.

It is sad that even now as a civilisation, after everything we've learned from history, so many rational people can still be so heavily influenced by ignorant xenophobia.

You look at history and you think how mass populations suddenly decided to be so full of fear or hate... and then you look at some of the views on this thread... and you realise this is how.

There's actually someone arguing on this thread, that if we don't vote for right wing now we'll actually increase the right wing across Europe. That's like saying to the Germans in 1933, if we don't vote to kick the jews out of Germany now, we might get Hitler. Great logic! I'd laugh if I didn't despair!

 

But what your sort fail to understand is the very simple premise that logic has no place in this debate!
