    Debating at it's finest.

I'm glad you took your own advice.

    Brilliant <laugh>

I know nothing much about him, and the bit I do know is largely what I've just read on Wiki.

Would it be fair to say that he's a career politician that has been in charge of some of the larger failures in the EU?

Is that your new 'winning' post?

You've used it on numerous occasions on this thread and mostly in completely the wrong context.

Do you know what it actually means? <laugh>

    The Labour Party Rulebook
Two different and completely contradictory bits of legal advice have been obtained. Who's right? This is the key passage in the party rule book (the PLP means Labour MPs and the EPLP means Members of the European Parliament):

"ii: Where there is no vacancy nominations may be sought by potential challengers each year prior to the annual session of Party conference. In this case any nomination must be supported by 20% of the combined Commons members of the PLP and members of the EPLP. Nominations not attaining this threshold shall be null and void."

Do the words "in this case any nomination" apply only to challengers, or do they suggest the sitting leader needs the backing of MPs and MEPs too?

My reading of this is that Corbyn, being the leader, doesn't have to be nominated as they only seem to be talking about challengers.

The idea of, or final destination of the architects of the EU was always intended to be a federal Europe. They just forgot to ask the people what they thought of the idea.

I don't like or trust Juncker. Yes, he's a career politician and a seriously misguided one, in my view.

When the EU was formed (EEC actually) I was excited by the thought of a federal Europe but the way they have run Europe since then has been a total mess and very undemocratic.

Another 5am meltdown <laugh> Seems I have a poodle on this thread who follows me around throwing tantrums :)

Instead of waffling on as you always do, here's what it comes down to. You deliberately edited the post to get rid of the part that NSIS was clearly referring to. Otherwise why delete it? I look forward to your next rant <ok>

I know some argue that we can vote for MEP's and they can vote in the parliament, but it's still far too removed from the people. A national election can determine the political leaning of the Country, and whilst it's double edged as it reduces long term decision making, at least we can vote out an incompetent Government.

We have no real way of determining the political leaning of the EU, all we can do is send someone to comment on what is a capitalist system.

Sorry, but so what? These type of deals have gone on for years. Brexit hasn't suddenly change this aspect of business.

It wasn't in anyway relevant to the point about me and it was for them to respond to.

You really are a ****ing fool, as you don't even understand basic comprehension, yet you want to interfere in something that has nothing to do with you.

Don't bother bigging yourself up, we all know you are a proven liar, nothing less, and any amount of your daft diversion attempts will not alter that. You really should be ashamed of yourself, but I would think your morals will not allow that, as they come across as pretty damn low. :emoticon-0112-wonde

When I left school, YTS schemes were being introduced. Hardly inspiring, knocking your bollocks out for about £25 a week. Fortunately, I managed to get an apprenticeship but plenty of youngsters did not have that luxury.
