It's as funny as **** reading this thread. So many are not replying to the issues, but to the usernames, an then adding their own bizarre interpretation on what they assume the rest of someone's position must be.

There seems to be some bizarre assumption that there's two factions building on here, based purely on assumptions and the fact we support the same team. The three City fans posting live in different areas of the country, have very different views on most issues, and to the best of my knowledge have never met.

The chances are, if some dropped this peculiar need for it to be a simple either or decision, you'd probably see that we voted for very different reasons. Mine are more in line with Corbyn's views than Farages.

It makes some of you look very insular and afraid of change, largely due to a lack of confidence in the ability of politicians and experts, which is a factor in my choice in the referendum.

I understand a referendum...my point is that you DO NOT think they should be able to change it because the public have voted...saying that MPs can vote but they must vote out means that, in effect, you do not think they should be able to vote.
As for the members of the public...the labour party members constitute members of the public and a massive percentage of them wanted Corbyn as leader and the few hundred Labour MPs have spent the last 10 months undermining that democratic vote. You view on these 2 issues is contradictory in my opinion. Do you honestly not see that?

There's one angry old twat who keeps referring to "Remainers" like it's a political party!

But then he has demonstrated that he does see people fitting into groups that he either likes or that he would like to see strung up from the nearest tree whilst crosses are burned around them.

If you dont think that you have met Fez or me and I don't think I have met you or Fez then I am pretty confident that none of the three of us have met. I wonder if they can understand that!?

Everyone is guilty of that Hull, me, you, everyone.

Regarding the last bit of your post, there are also plenty Remainers on here from different parts of the country (and one outside the country) who also have different motives for voting to Remain. Yet some on here think that we're all doom-mongers and don't want to accept the result simply because we're concerned with the consequences of the result or the situation currently. Even when we have some dialogue it is usually one of the brexit wums who comes in and throws a grenade in to start the bullshit off again - namely Custard or Saxton.

In terms of how the debate is being conducted nobody can hold the moral high ground. Anyway, we usually have this type conversation every 50 pages so I'll see you when we get to page 498.

Aye, and others that think brexit are a government that should have a manifesto showing how to move forwards. Bonkers isn't it.

    So she's a liar then?

Great the Tories elect a bare faced liar as their new leader and de facto PM.

Makes you proud to be British.

    Democracy at it's finest.

That makes no sense to me...you think she lied in the EU referendum but is trust worthy enough to make a good PM?

"MPs can vote" and "you do not think they should be able to vote" - doesn't make sense. Let me be clear. I don't see anything wrong with voting if they need to vote to repeal an Act of Parliament but given the result of the referendum they should vote for whatever is needed to repeal the Act of Parliament so that the UK can leave the EU.
Just in case you are still in any doubt, you are wrong when you say "you do not think they should be able to vote".

In the words of the great Billy Connolly, the desire to be a politician should bar you for life from ever becoming one.

Hopefully we'll come across each other on some discussion where we see more common ground or at least doesn't descend into a farce <ok>

You don't seem to understand that "members of the public" and "members of the Labour Party" are not the same thing.

.. I'd have been more convinced if you 'knew' you hadn't met them ... as you only seem to 'think' you haven't met them ... I'm sceptical .. I do however understand the concept of you being confident about something on flimsy ground ... <laugh>

Ok...so they can vote in order to leave...but if they vote to remain that is wrong...that is my point and in my opinion that is contradictory to your stance on Corbyn.
