As I've said before, May represents my views on the EU ie a considered reform or exit from Europe.

If she becomes PM it will just underline what a ridiculous and futile "victory" it was for the now dysfunctional and disbanded Leave campaign.

Unfortunately, the futility of it is only just beginning to appear.

And, yes, I agree with your views and May's, if those are her views.

As I've said all along, my concern was that the fragile economic recovery we had going would be badly damaged if we voted to leave now.

Loved Carney's comments today. Wouldn't have blamed him if he'd just run onto the platform and said "I warned you you daft ****s!"

I'd make him PM tomorrow if it was possible.

The Tory leadership contest is going to deliver an unelected PM who has the task of managing the nation through its biggest change process and thus potential crisis, in the last 40 years.

It's ****ing laughable that those who've been shouting about seeing out the democratic process post a moment in time opinion poll, are decrying the idea that whoever this unelected 'leader' is, won't have a mandate from the electorate, given that there's no sign of any ****ing plan as to how we're going to traverse this ravine, as the 'side' that delivered it have all run for the hills.

You couldn't make this **** up.

I mentioned the racists in London that voted in, Have a look around social media and you'll find a few more saying the same too.

I'll amend Spurlocks quote to take account of that revelation then.

99% of racists voted out, the other 1% were just confused as to which box to tick

I expect that may well have been in his thoughts. He was attacked before the vote for his warnings. Told by people like Johnson that he didn't know what he was talking about. Which, quite frankly, is not only insulting, but downright laughable.

Carney is not a politician. What he is is a highly competent central bank governor. His warnings were what he knew was coming. The modern BOE has their finger on the pulse of what's going on, what the sentiment is.

As I said earlier, he is a consummate pro, however. He didn't want and certainly didn't need, at this time, the hand that he's been dealt. But, being the pro he is, he'll play it the best he can.

I wouldn't blame him if he'd done the opposite and said "You stupid bastards I did warn you - right you're not going to listen to my advice, I'm off then - bring back Farage and Boris to sort this **** out!"

Johnson, Farage and Gove - what does Carney know?

2 of whom have scuttled off into the undergrowth and the third is about to be royally ****ed off by his own party.

Now we've got pro remain Tories standing for PM and changing their tune, same as Boris did in reverse pre the start of the campaign. What an utter farce.

Did you here Rifkind and Clarke's 'oops it's being recorded' candid chat today on Sky?
