Then you're denying reality and more concerned with the reflection of racism on the way you chose to vote, as opposed to a genuine concern as to the fact that hate crime has increased since the result.

For shame

That's not a fact.

The fact is that more allegations of race crime have been recorded. You need convictions, and knowledge of the numbers before the vote for your claim to be a fact. Without them, it's just propaganda.

And you believe all the doom merchants?.... we shall see
I believe what's already happening as predicted and don't doubt that the economic experts who have so far called it right won't be proven wrong! How's the GBP doing?!

Experts spending thousands of hours analysing economic facts and trends is more plausible than some nationalist saying it's ganna be allwhite cos we're British.

a crime is recorded as a race crime when the complainant says it is a race crime. It may not be a race crime.

that doesn't mean 100% of people in the UK has heard about it
if everybody has heard about it why did you mention it?

I would suggest that most people with an interest in current affairs would be watching the mainstream news at the moment. The story has been covered by BBC, ITV, SKY and all of the major news and media outlets. The reason I mentioned it, was because Smirnoff made an anecdotal comment about the rise of hate crimes, so I linked a story that gave concrete facts about those rises in one area and the subsequent concern from the Police force in that area.

Yet it is the remain supporters who are putting it out there for everybody to see.
Only the Saturday after the vote I said I feared that the minority of racist ****s would use this as a green light to do read the hateful filth. I also said that I hoped I was wrong. Unfortunately the following 2 weeks has seen a rise in attacks and it concerns many of us.
I do not get why you have a problem with people raising the rise of racist abuse as snow issue. Racist abuse is unacceptable and if a fuss is made against it in public it may give confidence to the victims and good people that they will receive support in opposing it and may make a racist **** think twice before abusing someone.

But was the vote about the economy?..... a small price to pay.

not with names
can you back up any other race crimes?

I don't need to. I'm simply pointing out that there was evidence from Avon and Somerset Police that hate crimes had risen dramatically in their area since the EU vote.

Some of the members commenting on here seem to have a problem with the rise in hate crimes being highlighted. The claim has been made that they are 'hyped and exaggerated' when in fact, the reality is that one Police chief constable has today come out with irrefutable figures that hate crimes have increased and that his force are 'dismayed' by it.

Well yes, it should have been about the economy as we should be hoping for a stronger, more prosperous Britain and that all stems from a strong economy. Sadly it seemed to be a vote about immigration hence all the crap going on now and no economic plan.

Fairly certain that if and when there is a backlash they will want it publicised as widely as possible.

This multi cultural country we live in breeds a certain amount of racism on all sides. The cultures for me don't mix well,
some just about tolerate each other and others hate the sight of each other.
