It really is scratch the surface politics ffs <laugh>
The fact that Murdoch has stuck his beak into it, with the S*n coming out with a front page editorial about how Brexit is the choice that the brainless idiot should put their cross against, is both sinister and worrying tbh.

The crying shame is that if Brexit does win this vote, then it'll have been the working man that saw them home. The section of our society who will almost certainly suffer the most extreme consequences of a failing economy as they have the least amount of flex in their disposable income, to counter rising interest rates and inflation.

Well at least the whole of Liverpool will vote Remain now <ok>

Are people really that braindead to vote with Murdoch. I actually think they are... sadly.

It's worrying just how much bullshit some people will swallow when they are fed a line from Murdoch's rags. As you mention the utter irony of it all is that he 'appeals' to the working class (**** knows why) with his blend of soundbite news and tits out publications.

This whole concept being peddled of Sovereignty, Control of our affairs, not being dictated to etc, is complete bollocks of course. If we hand power to Bellend Boris and the right wing brexit MP's then they will dismantle the workers rights the EU has given us and take an even tighter grip over peoples rights. Coupled with a background of a plummeting economy, it's a right wing dream landscape to make even more public spending cuts and sell off more of it to the private sector so that their rich chums can make a quick buck.

Nice of the EU to decide we are allowed not to give child benefits to some migrants, and this is worrying.

The prime minister had wanted a complete ban on migrants sending child benefit abroad but had to compromise after some eastern European states rejected that and also insisted that existing claimants should continue to receive the full payment.

Who are they to decide what we can do, this is why I want to leave right there.

Would you like anyone telling you how you can spend your money though? If you receive Child Benefit, it's not up to the Prime Minister to tell you how you can spend it. That argument I don't get.

But if you're saying you don't want any migrant to get Child Benefit, that's a different argument. But then you have to way up the overall contribution migrants are making to the economy. In which case should any restriction in Child Benefit be restricted to migrants or all lazy layabouts even those who are British?

There's also the problem with looking at these sorts of things in isolation. What exactly are Brits being allowed in return on the continent?

Go bother yourself to find out how you can actually claim benefits under the current UK rulings if you're an EU migrant.

Here's a clue.

1. **** all for 3 months
2. JSA and child benefit for 3 months - no housing benefit
3. After 3 months you have to prove that employment is highly likely to occur i.e. a job offer, or all benefits stop.

Those are the facts that the kind of rag that you probably read won't bother sharing....

Look at the ****s who are pushing for Brexit ffs, right wing Tories and dyed in the wool bigots like Farage.
The go ask yourself why the right wing gentry set are so keen on it.....

Possibly. But far more importantly, it would be a large step backwards for the UK economy. The consequences of which would hit the pocket of virtually every UK citizen.

Edit: just seen some old moron on the news complaining that 2 aisles of his local supermarket are taken up with Polish food! <yikes>

He's now off home to take the wife out for a curry. British curry, of course!....

I saw that too <laugh>

Are you watching Newsnight. All about working class in Middlesborough disconnected from Labour. Some of the things Jo Public is coming out with there is pure facepalm.

It's an hour later here, Trebs. I've just hit the sack. But yes, I despair when I see some of the braindeads who may well hold all our futures in their hands!....

Just back from a date with a European girl, one of a few dates with Europeans I have been on recently. Am I surprised by the acceptance of a leave stance and the feeling that many Europeans aren't happy with the decisions of the EU over recent events both economic, political and immigration based? The eurosceptic feeling goes far beyond the UK and voting Leave could be the beginning of a far greater political movement within Europe. Regardless of whether we leave now or not, if there isn't significant reform there will be a collapse or at the very least a serious lack of confidence that will arise within the EU. If this beaurocratic, out-dated, undemocratic, stubborn, slow moving organisation doesn't modernise, reform and progress then regardless of a Brexit, it will fall.

Interesting how you 'remainers' are resorting to attacking the character of those who are looking to vote out, politicians and posters here, as much as the arguments put forward. Xenephobes, racists, little Englanders etc, etc.

All rather pathetic and smacks of sheer desperation because your arguments for staying are so weak.

More a case of utter despair at the realisation that there are so many thick ****ing idiots ready to take the monumentally stupid option.

Exactly! No, not all the Brexiters are thick, uneducated idiots. However, a disturbingly large number of them are!

Many of the others are hard right wing, upper middle class, or from a priveliged background...

Obviously there are Leavers who have given a lot of considered thought to the issues but as you say there are a huge amount who are in the Leave camp for the wrong reasons ie people who think that by closing the borders and keeping the foreigners out all the ills of the U.K. will resolve themselves and also people like Boris who are so privileged that they won't suffer when the UK is on its knees from an economic perspective.

I quite like Boris but I don't think he is genuinely a Leaver. It is however a great platform to become the next PM.

That's a total misconception (again a trait that seems to be consistent with the remain campaign). There are many out there that are intelligent, well educated, hardworking and want the best for themselves and there families.
The issue is that this whole debate leading up to the vote has become a pissing contest, between the leave and remain parties based mainly on how can we scare the **** out of the public.
