Why should I believe you (with your biased view) more than the people I can see for myself actually being interviewed on TV and radio who are choosing to vote Out? These weren't media people, they were every day folk with nothing to spin. Very strange for you to doubt your fellow voters. They were all stating there were too many immigrants from the EU and that this had to be reduced. The fact you're even denying such an obvious point is strange tbph.

    No.

Well, if Hull voted to leave! That's it then!!

Listen to people from all over the UK talk. Some are so tragically uninformed, or misinformed that they're voting for what Murdoch's rag tells them is the thing to do!

So I should believe you, because you've seen a few selected people asking a soundbite question, and ignore the many other people I've spoken to over the years?

Fair enough, that's not pompous at all. Fortunately, it's also irrelevant. A fair few politicians certainly seem ed to be starting to see the deeper issue.

Care to answer the question. Do you think that if the outcome of leaving the EU isn't as expected by the people who voted for it, they will consider irrelevant? You're welcome to say what you believe what those expectations are. But to say they would think it irrelevant whether they're achieved or not is very bizarre.

<laugh> I guess as the alternative is, it's another in the long, long list of things you've got wrong, you'll just keep repeating your views based on a limited sample.

Very true! But, again, too many voted with no real idea of what they were voting themselves into. Immigration, immigration, immigration. Over and over....

I do really hope for their sake that this doesn't hurt the average person too badly. But, it's really the next to unknown next!

So, what have I got wrong that you can prove that I got wrong?? Apart from the result, that is.

You're talking out of your arse again, as per usual!...

No I'm not asking you to believe anything fella. I'm just stating what countless people have said on TV and radio. I'm simply addressing their reasons for voting out and how they'll be feeling hearing that immigration of 350,000 per year won't necessarily be reducing. And in a couple of years when they see that in their neighbourhoods, how they'll react. It's a reasonable question.

Btw those soundbite questions on TV and radio were "Which way will you be voting?" (answer - In or Out) Second soundite question "Why?" <laugh> very soundbite! You clearly are a little defensive so I'll leave it there.

Pretty much most of the reasons anyone I know voted as they did, be that in or out for a kick off.

    Countless? Aye, right oh.

You're happy with your simplified version from a few seconds off the news and sod anything else that doesn't fit, I prefer mine from years of living here. Ya pays your money, ya takes your choice.

Short answer to your immigration tub thumper, they'll vote against them.

Well, you obviously know a very limited amount of people then!

As Trebs had said, also, you have only to watch the news to get an overall impression from around the whole of the UK why people voted the way they did. The overriding reason for most leavers was immigration!...

He's not really mate. Those who voted OUT were driven by something. If that status quo doesn't change, it's ridiculous for him to say he won't be bothered by it. It's easy for him to say otherwise on an internet forum. The idea that the number of migrants wasn't an issue for Out voters is just hilarious.

I'll take your advice, and ignore the things I've learned from decades of talking to many, many people, in favour of staying in to catch a few seconds of comments on the news. <ok>
