<laugh> You've got so much wrong, I really don't think you should be highlighting intelligence.

At least for our Independence Day, there'll be no Turkey...or sour grapes.

As should that utter waste of space, Corbyn. Is there a more ineffectual, pointless politician anywhere - apart from Farage, I mean..

There are of course issues that arise around immigration, particularly when there is no control on that immigration. In particular when large numbers of immigrants settle in one geographic location you can have overcrowding of infrastructure that isn't developed enough yet to deal with it. Or if you have a large number of people with the same skill set or looking for the same type of work flood a particular job market it can drive wages down. Along with a few other things. and I'd love to see a better system to manage immigration to give the best benefit to us and those moving here. My personal preference is for an Australian style points system that takes the best people and the people we need from anywhere in the world regardless of nationality or ethnicity.

But immigration has been fantastic for this country over several generations and I massively appreciate the things we have gained culturally and socially from immigration even ignoring that in general immigrants are net contributors to the economy. And I also accept that to get the deal we want with the EU we MAY have to compromise on immigration in terms of free movement for access to the common market, we just don't know yet.

I hope that people from both sides are able to see why people have worries about immigration, or why they may want it to be better managed but also why immigration has been such a good thing for this country.

Im not replying to anyone in particular here, I just don't like the anti-immigration rhetoric sometimes used by people who want to leave the EU and don't like the denial of why people might feel there are issues around immigration from the other side of the argument. Like with everything there is a middle ground.

They won't be, firstly for all of the reasons already stated that make it legally, economically and politically highly unlikely a referendum will take place and then win, but also, because they wouldn't individually yet meet the criteria to join the Eurozone which they would be required to do and the EU would not want to cause additional aggregation in the Uk negotiations that are set to commence.

He will not be part of any government, the more you throw the race card around, the bigger it makes you one.

Bradford and Birmingham which has a large ethnic population voted OUT, so pop over to them and tell them they are racist and see how far that will get you.

I would have preferred Cameron to put off the decision to resign for a short period for the sake of not adding additional instability, but I understand why he has felt the need to announce it.

I didn't call them racist (by the way, did all the ethnic population in those areas vote Leave?, that's quite a sweeping statement Custard), I called Farage a racist because he is. I don't know why you would take such issue with that.

I think it's a call for Boris to piss or get off the pot, in a 'you asked for it, you got it', kind of way.

I agree, I would have liked him to saty in and get the country in a safer state then step down, but I respect him for giving up the PM

Not everyone that voted 'out' is racist, however everyone that is racist voted 'out'.
So unless you wear a tag to clarify, I will raise my eyebrow to you.

I'd like to think I've posted enough opinion on various topics surrounding the EU referendum including immigration for people to see that I'm not a racist or xenophobic and that there are those of us on the Out side who genuinely believe they have voted in the best interests of the country.
