Aye, that's what he really thinks. Just like Mourinho really thought Suarez dived. I have the deeds to Buckingham palace I'll sell you it for 100 quid, just DM me your card details....dont forget the 3 digit code on the back....
First minute challenge was a red in anyones book. High, late and studs showing. First minute or last, it was worthy of a red. However, in the final minute Oscar did a two footed lunge on Lucas which was a red card offence followed by the red card reaction from Lucas. Webb just forgot his cards!
Can't make Brendan out sometimes to be honest, as soon as he made that comment I switched the telly off. Apart from the fact it was a garbage comment he really should be consistent if he is going to break with his usual non confrontational style. There was no way this was a "good game" for Web so shouldn't have volunteered the comment at all, he wasn't asked directly about the refs performance just his thoughts on the incidents. Looks weak and muddled against the comments that he made a few days ago, and now having to speak to the FA, a bit like his substitution using Smith today. Still right behind him though, he is doing ok and will learn.
Really? I was in the pub so didn't see the post match comments etc. BR really can be a weird one at times, I thought the refereeing performance was worse than the Man City game
thats football. we screwed ourselves, nobody else... we have enough excuses made but we should know our team played poorly
Don't agree because it's illogical: no matter how crap we played (not half as bad a second half performance compared to some games we won) it doesn't remove the fact that we were robbed of clear opportunities that would have directly effected the outcome of the game. It's not football, it's the opposite of football. Football is if Suarez had missed a shot, he didn't he got fouled in the box. Football would have been if the ref had missed or didn't have a clear view of the incident, he did , he pointed at it. Football would have been if Sterling (city game) had been offside or if it had been a close call, or if the linesman had been two yards behind. None of which was the case. It's not an either or situation, poor play doesn't justify bad decisions in a match against a team we are going to get very few chances against. It would still be poor officiating if we'd scored 5 and won. We'd still have been under par performance wise if we'd got the penalty/goal allowed and drew each match. But like our players these guys are paid to do their job right and it's just as fair to state that their bad performance cost us the game just as equally as dud individual and team performances from our lot.
If that was Brown or Cattermole (SAFC) they would have been off pronto, last week two Chelsea players got away with it. The refs have binocular vision and lightning reaction time when we play, but blinkers on when Chelsea play, how is Henderson by the way, we could do with him back here as our midfield is all over the place !. I reckon the f a will look at that tackle but will take about 4 months to decide what to do !.
We were **** in that first half, and I said so. Nonetheless, we'd have still come away from that game with at least one point (more if Eto'o had RIGHTLY been sent off) if the yellow-streaked piece of piss Webb hadn't shat himself. I didn't see City say "By Jingo, we got three points but Liverpool were the better team, so we'll give them back", or Yernited convulsed with doubts about how they managed to pick up six points over the Christmas period when they were palpably outplayed by Hull and Norwich.
Absolutely right. Poor refereeing is poor refereeing regardless of performance. All webb's decisions today would have been the exact opposite if the offences had been carried out by our players or happened in our penalty area. He is a home ref for teams like united and the chavs, always has been.
To be fair you unfairly stole a 2-2 draw from us last season so it kind of balanced out with the 2-1 yesterday, albeit you likely would have missed the penalty anyway with Gerrard not playing
cant remember to be honest, all i remember is last season we got what we didn't deserve again in a few games, may not have been against you though, at least last season it was our own fault we only drew with city, this time round we got conned.
Suarez would've scored it with his bootlaces tied together. Can't remember, what happened last season?
Eto'o was a clear sending off. Disgusting and cowardly challenge and got away with it, and he ultimately won the game. Mourinho is the master - completely deflected the attention away from Eto'o challenge on Hendo and Suarez, and turns it around onto Suarez diving. W*nker.
