You used to slag Max off, Oscar bottled it. Had it in the bad but them few crashes and slow races cost him.

Guess Lando will have the best break he has ever had.

I've been critical of Lando at times, but he's really stepped up in the second half of the year under immense pressure. Hasn't let the various setbacks the team have caused get to him either.

Worthy champion and will probably get even better with the confidence that having a WDC in the bank gives you

Now he has the new pressure of defending it. But for now, he can enjoy.

I'm not sure he'll be under a lot of pressure next season to defend it. We're going to be putting all the teams in a bag and shaking them up, so who knows who will come out on top.

Given the changes.coming, Lando really needed to make sure he won this one. It may be his only shot.

Norris is champion because of them swapping him with Piastri at Monza

Norris is a very good driver, not exceptional like Verstappen or Hamilton. Put LeClerc in that McLaren and he beats Norris to the title.

Tbf alot of drivers who are just very good have won titles like Hill, Button and Rosberg, only exceptional driver on the grid now and in his peak is Verstappen.

Verstappen is in a different league. It's kinda unfair to compare Lando to him because a lot of the differences come down to personalities imo. Verstappen is ruthless and Lando just doesn't have that in him. Still an exceptional driver though and deserves this.

Well done to Lando. Weirdly all of the top three can be satisfied this year. Oscar’s competed for the championship against a much more experienced team mate in only his 3rd year, Max got somewhere close despite the car holding him back and Lando won the big prize.
