Cheers mate, was a few miles from me, no one was hurt which is the main thing. Worst hit was a beach front bar complex, totally gone. Firecrews got there quick and was extinguished in a few hours. Rumuors are some pikey squatters were having a BBQ nearby and set fire to so some scrubland then it spread quickly due to the high winds.
Thanks lads, we had a fire very near (50m) to my house a few years ago, the scariest bit is the nosie! Thankfully since then a golf course has been built so I now live frontline golf with natural firebreak. If the worse came to the worse I could chuck the ale in the pool and retrieve it later. Este, 27c and sunny, life could be worse.
