Maybe the Gareth Barry interest was true then ... Pearsons looking for a veteran DM.

We are going to have an older squad than QPR at this rate!

Ridiculously experienced and a DM - would do nicely.

Will be one of the oldest members of our squad as opposed to QPR where he would be in their youth team ;)

?

The only players we have over 30 are Upson, Konchesky, Hammond and GTF - we need more experienced players.

SSN: He turned down Sampdoria because he doesn't want to play in Italy and wants to continue playing in Europe so has ruled out Argentina.
I guess this is similar to Lampards situation, not wanting to play for a different club in the same league after 10+ years at the same club, although its backfired for Lamps <laugh>

Reports in Argentina say we have signed Esteban Cambiasso on a 1 year contract

Report translated

The Argentine midfielder Esteban "Cuchu" Cambiasso will play next season at Leicester City, the club just promoted to the English Premier League after its separation from the Inter of Italy.

Cambiasso, who turns 34 this month, initialed an annual contract for an amount that is close to two million with an option to renew for another season in July 2015.

In Leicester, the former Argentine national team midfielder will have as a companion to his compatriot Leonardo Ulloa, a former striker of San Lorenzo, Olimpo and Arsenal.

England team coach, Nigel Pearson, endorsed their engagement and ownership assured in midfield team returning aa the Premier League.

Holy **** I'm so excited.

Drinkwater Cambiasso James
Mahrez-----------Knockaert
Ulloa

If Somthing happened to Drinkwater though it would limit us meaning we would have to rely on the wide men or playing King ahead of James and Cambiasso to create chances

Still a great signing if it does come off. Just need a left back and maybe a centre half as I have doubts the Matt Upson is really up to the prem as he hasn't even trained properly yet.

No, no , no..... This can't happen.......can it?
I'm really trying not to get my hopes up .... but I can't help it especially after I read Prouds Argentinian article

I really hope it's true, personally I'd love to see Cambiasso alongside Drinkwater in a 4-4-2. I know that's harsh on James, who would miss out, but this is Esteban Cambiasso FFS!

Knockaert - Cambiasso - Drinkwater - Albrighton
Vardy - Ulloa

How about that! Cambiasso could still boss a midfield at his age; he's be exactly the sort of defensive midfielder we've been looking at. A few years ago he was the best in that position in the world.

@StringerSport: Nigel Pearson had just confirmed on @BBCLeicester that #LCFC ARE looking to sign Cambiasso
