Somehow City are still 6th and on Tuesday evening they face a potentially season defining game against Derby, who have to win at the CCS to maintain any Playoff ambitions. Can City strengthen their grip upon the final Playoff place or will they continue their poor run against top half teams?
Yeah somehow we are still in the playoffs but we need to step up for the last three games. A win against Derby would put pressure on the chasing pack so put me down for a 1-0 please with Ralls obliging.
The Snow Queens will have to go for it tonight whereas I have a horrible feeling that Harris will adopt the "must not lose" mentality rather than the "go for the jugular" one for fear of Rooney running the show and picking passes all over the shop and catching us on the break... On that basis I'm going 1-1 with Ralls scrambling one in to salvage our point after going behind to another disputed penalty / free kick from the Fat Granny Botherer. Cheers Mr Blue Sheep.
I fancy a draw is on the cards as well given recent Harris policies. Hope we don't have another Blackburn moment with a sloppy pass giving it away or we will really be scrambling in the final two games. They need a win in exactly the same way that Blackburn did at the time - lessons to learn. City 2 - 0 Derby with a goal from Morrison - at last.
2.1 to us. Morro has to score soon. Tonight's the night. WoL actually made a good point regarding our recent lack of success at set pieces. Earlier in the season we had a bit of a Luftwaffe with Morro, Flint, Pack and Pelts lining up to head or cause confusion. Now we have only Morro as a real threat in the air so more easily marked out. I don't want Flint or Pack anywhere near the starting 11 but, if fit, how about Bamba in the holding midfield role he did so successfully against the little Villa sh1t, Grealish, last season. He could do a good job standing on the toes of the granny botherer who doesn't have Grealish's pace or mobility and also add some power to our set pieces. I'm assuming Sanderson gets benched tonight with Bacuna at right back.
Think you could well be right about Bacuna for Sanderson as experience could be invaluable now and Sanderson has been a little "wobbly" since the restart. Question is, would that change then allow Tomlin to come in and start along with Ralls and Vaulks in the middle? Think I'd like to see Big Sol come in for Nelson on this one too. Going to be interesting but I still think Harris will go safety first.
Tut, no sooner do I reclaim MY top spot back off Clingo do I get usurped by another pretender for MY league winners place... You do realise that I'm like Leeds... I need to get up to where I belong! Less of the correct predictions if you don't mind young William!
